Every plan gets the whole product

No capability is gated by plan — bots, knowledge, access gates, embedding, datasets, uploads, voice and every tool come with every one. A plan sets how much your assistants can answer each month, and the commercial tier adds the premium models.

Plans

What differs between plans

A few things, and nothing else.

In every plan, including Free

  • Unlimited bots you own
  • Knowledge base + CSV / database datasets
  • Public, private, invite and password-gated access
  • Embed on your own site
  • Team invites (owners and editors)
  • Every capability (uploads, voice, artifacts, MCP, skills)
  • Fast, Balanced and Deep answer modes

What a question costs

A Grounded Credit is the unit an answer is charged in. An ordinary question costs about credits, so a plan's monthly allowance is really a number of answers — and that is the only number you need to size a plan.

Work out your own

Worked at working days a month and an ordinary answer. A month of deep research over long documents costs more than a month of quick lookups, so treat this as the floor of your range — your real rate is the one your own meter shows after a week.

The worst case

The most a month can cost

Your plan price, and nothing else, unless you deliberately add to it. Paid usage past the allowance is off until you switch it on, and it cannot be switched on without setting a ceiling in the same action — so the maximum is always the plan price plus a number you chose yourself. There is no per-question charge that can surprise you, and no automatic upgrade.

As it runs down

You are told before you hit it

My Bots → Plan & billing shows what is left in questions, not just in percentages, and says when you are running low. Nothing degrades quietly on the way down: answers keep their full context and checking until the allowance is gone, and then they pause rather than getting worse.

Storage and history

Knowledge is not metered

Documents, knowledge entries and datasets cost no credits to add and no credits to keep, on every plan. Files are accepted up to 20 MB each. What the plan does set is how many past revisions of each source are kept — the number on each card above — and how long question history is retained, which a bot's admin can shorten.

How Grounded Credits work

Your monthly allowance

What your plan meters

Every answer draws down your account's monthly Grounded Credits, across every Ground on the account. A question costs what it takes to answer: the model it used, how much of your knowledge it had to read, and how much checking the answer needed. Simple lookups are cheap; deep research on a long document is not. The allowance resets each billing period and nothing rolls over. Run out and answers pause until the reset or an upgrade.

Running out never becomes a bigger bill. Paid usage beyond the allowance is off unless you switch it on yourself, and switching it on requires you to set the ceiling first — there is no way to be charged an amount you did not choose in advance.

What is not metered

Only answers cost credits

Editing knowledge, uploading datasets, changing settings and inviting teammates cost nothing. The meter moves only when a Ground answers someone. Refusals count too — saying “I don't have that information” still took a read of your knowledge to decide. A repeated question served from cache costs nothing at all.

Beyond your plan

Or bring your own model key

You never need your own provider key — every plan includes the models. But a bot's admin can connect one, and when they do, that bot's answers are billed by the provider directly to them and stop drawing on this account's monthly allowance. It is the escape hatch for a bot whose volume has outgrown the meter.

Renewal, cancellation and the 14-day withdrawal right

A paid plan renews by itself until you stop it. Here is exactly how that works, how to stop it, and what you can get back — in full in the refunds and cancellation policy.

Automatic renewal

It renews until you cancel

A paid plan charges the price on its card above, in US dollars, once a month to the card you pay with, and renews automatically for another month on the same date until you cancel it. There is no minimum term, no contract length and no cancellation fee.

If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal and never retroactively.

Cancelling

Self-service, no email

Sign in, open My Bots → Plan & billing, choose Manage billing, and cancel in the payment provider's own portal. No email, no phone call and no retention conversation.

Cancelling stops the next charge. Your plan keeps working to the end of the month you have already paid for, then the account returns to Free. Nothing is deleted by cancelling.

EU, EEA and UK

14 days to change your mind

A consumer in the EU, EEA or UK may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. If you asked for the plan to start immediately, you pay only for the part of the period you actually had.

How the withdrawal right works, and how to use it.

Frequently asked questions

What is one Grounded Credit?

It is the unit an answer is charged in, and it exists so that one number covers work that is not all the same size. An ordinary grounded question — the assistant reads your knowledge, answers, and checks the answer against its sources — costs about credits. Credits are not minutes, not messages and not tokens you have to convert: a plan's allowance divided by that figure is roughly how many questions it holds.

The reason it is not a flat per-question price is that a flat price would have to be set at the cost of the most expensive question anyone could ask, and almost every question is far cheaper than that. Charging for what each answer actually took is what keeps the ordinary ones cheap.

What is the most I could be charged in a month?

Your plan price. That is the whole answer on default settings: there is no per-question charge, no automatic upgrade, and no usage that bills beyond the allowance unless you turn it on.

If you do turn extra usage on, you have to set a ceiling in the same action — the setting will not save without one — so the most you can be billed is the plan price plus the ceiling you chose, plus any one-off pack you deliberately bought. There is no configuration of this product in which a month costs an amount you did not agree to in advance.

How much knowledge and history does my plan include?

Knowledge is not metered at all. Documents, knowledge-base entries and CSV or database datasets cost nothing to add and nothing to keep, on every plan including Free, and there is no storage charge. Individual files are accepted up to 20 MB.

What the plan does set is depth of history: how many past revisions of each source are kept, which is the figure on each plan card, so you can see what a source said when an older answer cited it. Question history has its own retention, which a bot's admin can shorten but not extend indefinitely.

What exactly counts against my monthly allowance?

Every question a Ground answers, summed across every Ground on the account. Configuring a Ground costs nothing; only answering does. A repeated question served from cache costs nothing either.

What happens when I go over my allowance?

Answering pauses and the bot says so; it does not silently degrade, start guessing, or quietly bill you for more. Extra paid usage past the allowance is off by default and cannot be switched on without setting a spending ceiling at the same time, so there is no overage you did not ask for. Everything else is untouched — knowledge, settings, access gates, embeds and team members all stay exactly as configured, and the bot's admin console keeps working. It resumes on its own at the calendar-month reset, or immediately on an upgrade. A bot's own admin can also set a lower cap than the account allowance, which behaves the same way.

How many bots can I create?

As many as you like on any plan, Free included. The plan limits only the monthly credits across every Ground on the account — never the number of Grounds, the features or the capabilities.

Which plan should I be on?

Start on Free — it is the full product, not a trial, and it is the only honest way to find out what your real answer volume is. Move up when you see the meter getting close, which is visible on My Bots → Plan & billing before it becomes a problem. There is no benefit to guessing high in advance.

What are the “premium models”, and do I need them?

Every plan includes the models the product runs on — Fast, Balanced and Deep are the three answer modes, and all three work on Free. “Premium” is a separate, more expensive class of model (Claude Sonnet 5 today) that a bot's admin can deliberately pin to a mode on the commercial tier. It is opt-in per assistant, never automatic, and nothing downgrades or degrades without it: a bot on any other plan runs Deep on its own Deep-class model and says so.

It is a separate class rather than a bigger allowance because its cost per answer is open-ended in a way the rest of the catalogue is not, which is exactly why it is metered and gated rather than bundled everywhere.

Do I need my own model key?

No. Every plan includes the models; a key of your own is optional. If a bot's admin does connect one, that bot's answers are billed by the provider directly to them and stop drawing on this account's allowance. Keys are encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not yet. Paid plans bill monthly, and there is no annual rate to discount.

Can I cancel or change plans anytime?

Paid plans are designed to be self-service — change or cancel from My Bots → Plan & billing, with no email required. While paid checkout is still being finished, nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel.

Can I get a refund?

A month you have already started is not refunded as a matter of course — cancelling stops the next charge and leaves the current one in place, which is why the plan keeps working until the period ends. Two things override that, and both are honoured without argument: a billing mistake on our side, and the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK has on a new purchase.

The full policy — what is refunded, what is not, how a withdrawal is calculated and how long the money takes to come back — is on the refunds and cancellation page.

What makes one question cost more than another?

Three things, and they compound: which model answered — a fast model and a deep-reasoning one differ several-fold on the same question; how much of your knowledge it had to read — a question that sweeps a long manual costs more than one answered from a single short passage; and how much checking the answer needed — a claim that had to be verified against your sources costs the verification too.

That is why there is no questions-per-month figure on this page. Any number we picked would be wrong for your Grounds, and the honest version is the one on your own meter: watch My Bots → Plan & billing for a week and you will know your real rate. It is visible there well before it becomes a problem.
